Our Partner Kanika Mayar recently weighed in on the opportunities in India's startup ecosystem at a panel discussion at YourStory Media's flagship event and India's premier startup conference TechSparks in Mumbai.

She suggests that founders should focus on finding the product market fit instead of GMV (gross merchandise value) when fundraising.

She also shares that Vertex Ventures is looking to invest in founders who understand the profitability dynamics. "We are not expecting companies to become profitable instantly but we want to see founders going from zero to one in a good way."
