Threado, the Command Centre for Community, raises $3.1M funding led by Vertex Ventures
Bangalore-based Threado, the command center for community builders, announced its seed round of $3.1 Million and the public launch of its product. The seed round was led by Vertex Ventures Southeast Asia and India with participation from Gemba Capital, Speciale Invest, and PointOne Capital.
The round also saw participation from angel investors such as Deepinder Goyal, Founder & CEO of Zomato, Pankaj Chaddah, Co-founder Mindhouse and Zomato, Krish Subramanian and Rajaraman Santhanam, Cofounders of Chargebee, Abhishek Goyal, Co-founder & CEO of Tracxn, Aneesh Reddy, Co-founder & CEO of Capillary Technologies and several other marquee angels.
The company plans to utilise the funds to strengthen their team, double down on the product and accelerate traction in the North American market.
Threado was founded in 2020 by Pramod Rao and Abhishek Nalin. Before Threado, Pramod was one of the earliest employees and VP of Marketing at Zomato for 8+ years. With Threado, Pramod and Abhishek want to empower and champion community builders and are on a mission to help millions of businesses grow through the power of community.

Threado is currently being used by over 200+ communities with 1 Million+ members. Customers include On Deck, Glide Apps, StartUp Grind, Ultrahuman, Appsmith, Rocketlane, Scaler Academy, FamPay, amongst many other fast-growing companies. Over the next 12 months, Threado plans to increase their customer base to 3000+ community-led companies.
