𝗠𝗲𝗲𝘁 𝘁𝗵𝗲 VVSEAI 𝗧𝗲𝗮𝗺: Nisrina Firyal Fadhlannisa

We're excited to share our "𝗠𝗲𝗲𝘁 𝘁𝗵𝗲 VVSEAI 𝗧𝗲𝗮𝗺" series to introduce the wonderful, multi-faceted talent we have in the Vertex Ventures SEA & India! For the month of November, we would like to introduce our colleague Nisrina Firyal Fadhlannisa based in Indonesia.

• What did you do before Vertex and what did you study?

Before joining Vertex, I served as an Investment Analyst at Venturra, the venture capital arm of Lippo Group. In this role, I focused on identifying and evaluating early-stage startups throughout Southeast Asia, particularly those that aligned well with the conglomerate's ecosystem.

Prior to my venture capital journey, I studied Electrical Engineering at Universitas Indonesia. I chose this program as a stepping stone towards my passion for Biomedical Engineering, which was still an emerging field in Indonesia at the time. Alongside with my studies, I took on leadership roles in student organizations and worked freelancer in the creative industry. These experiences helped me develop my strategic thinking and business skills, providing a solid foundation for my transition into the investment world.

2. What is one thing you most enjoy about working at Vertex?

What I enjoy most about working at Vertex SEA & India is the incredible diversity of our team and the opportunity to learn from seasoned professionals who have decades of experience. With colleagues from various backgrounds across Southeast Asia and India, each bringing their unique perspectives, the collaborative environment continually challenges me to grow and think strategically.

3. Tell us something we didn't know that you do outside of work.
Outside of work, I love staying active by practicing yoga and working out with friends. I cherish my weekends, which I usually spend relaxing at coffee shops, diving into novels, and enjoying quality time with family and friends, as well as my two cats. Recently, I’ve also taken up scuba diving and am excited to plan more trips next year to explore the beautiful waters of Indonesia.
